Many years ago when I was a young woman, Carolyn Myss, on stage at a workshop, buoyed me with her open expression of personal honesty in front of a crowd of strangers. She stood there, looking so well put together, sounding so knowledgeable, already well-established in her career, and then she kindly and bravely disclosed to us all a piece of her own human frailty. We heard her words, and we could hear it in her voice, and see it on her face and in her body language.  I can’t even remember what she said, but what stuck with me was the fact that she shared her very human vulnerability.
